Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • cup water
  • 8 small tortillas
  • Shredded lettuce for serving
  • Diced tomatoes for serving
  • Shredded cheese for serving
  • Sour cream or salsa optional

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
  • Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  • Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add taco seasoning and water, then simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  • Warm the tortillas and fill with the seasoned ground turkey.
  • Serve with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and your favorite toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lime juice or a pinch of chili powder to the turkey mixture. Leftover filling works well for taco bowls or salads.
