Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Pat the shrimp dry and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in the honey, soy sauce, butter, and the cornstarch mixed with water. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for 1–2 more minutes until glossy and heated through.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with green onions if desired, and serve immediately.
