- 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- ¼ cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Green onions for garnish (optional)
Pat the shrimp dry and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in the honey, soy sauce, butter, and the cornstarch mixed with water. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for 1–2 more minutes until glossy and heated through.
Remove from heat, garnish with green onions if desired, and serve immediately.
